The winners of the thirteenth annual New Zealand Sign and Display Awards were recently announced at a gala function held at the Hawkes Bay Opera House in Hastings. MC, Dame Susan Devoy, brought her own brand of humour to the evening as sponsors presented seventy four Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and certificates to deserving sign makers. Apprentices also came in for special attention with the country's top apprentices in their three years of block course attendance being recognised.  A Bronze medal was presented to Stacey Davidson of NZ Sign Company of Hamilton and two Gold medals were awarded to the equal first placed apprentices, Jonathan McGovern of Atkin Signs and Graphics of Napier and Rebecca Bell of Northbridge Signs of Auckland's North Shore. The Joomla Core Team and Working Group members are volunteer developers, designers, administrators and managers who have worked together to take Joomla! to new heights in its relatively short life. Joomla! has some wonderfully talented people taking Open Source concepts to the forefront of industry standards. The Joomla! Project has assembled a top-notch team of experts to form the new Joomla! Security Strike Team. This new team will solely focus on investigating and resolving security issues. Instead of working in relative secrecy, the JSST will have a strong public-facing presence at the Joomla! Security Center. |
